Shiplap wall and baseboards

Hi, we are finishing our basement, and we have an accent wall that is covered with barn wood shiplap.
So do we need a baseboard on it or just leave the way it is?

    Leave it. Actually, I'd paint the other baseboards a satin version of wall paint. Really no need for the white trim. No window /door casings that I can see. I'd make the base "disappear."
