The first one looks like Paradise to me. Chrysler Imperial on the second? Going off of popular varieties I've seen in body bags. Are they fragrant?

The lavender rose looks a bit like both Barbra Streisand and Paradise, but different enough that it’s neither. Fragrant Plum , maybe?

Its the same rose the first purple is when she emerges and then her end color is what you see a mix of pink and purple of the full bush im not lying lol all the same bush . Im thinking Barbara Streisand because I have a Miranda Lambert that was labeled Streisand .

I don’t know what your mauve rose is but I don’t think it’s Barbara Streisand. I’ve never seen the white steaks on the flowers as in your first photo and the foliage looks wrong. Barbara has very distinctive leaves. Very thick, dark, leathery and curvy unlike my other roses. I could pick her out just on her leaves.

Pic is of mine and the leaves on yours looked flatter than what I see on her. Good luck in your search I hate those kind of mysteries!

The purple one with the red blush om the petal edges could well be Paradise. That one is often found in body bag roses.

I would love the old fashion roses like we had under the window in Georgia. It had seven roses on a stem.

And we would open the window and the whole house would smell of roses

Hi Oneal! We've got several posters who could possibly help ID what your rose was - you'll have the best luck getting them with a separate post in the 'Antique Roses' forum.

I'm not much help in what the rose could have been (I'm a newbie myself) but the best info to help them narrow down your options would be 1. did it bloom once or several times a season? 2. what color? 3. when was the rose planted? Even if you only know that it was already there by X year, that helps eliminate anything newer than that.

If you're still in the South, you've got a lot of options for roses! Noisettes and Teas will grow for you, classes we in northern states can only dream of. Happy rose hunting!

Maybe the mauve one is Shocking Blue? Is it low thorn with a strong fragrance?
