Breakfast Nook Area

I just moved into a new apartment, and I am not sure how I can utilize this space yet. The dimensions are 82" long and 29in deep (short patio wall side) and 62in deep (desk side). The window is 46in long and the space below the window is 26" tall. I can move the desk into my second bedroom area if need be, but I ultimately would love this space to be like a study nook/bar storage area. I was thinking some type of liquor cabinet and accent chair set up, or even some type of shelving? Suggestions?

How about getting two bookshelves on either side of the window and a bench in the middle? Or a small desk with a bench seat that can tuck underneath the desk when not in use? Obviously not in these finishes but maybe same style?

The desk/wall unit needs to move to the bedroom--it crowds the window. The small refrigerator could go, too. That corner will never be attractive no matter what you do as long as that refrigerator remains.

A bar cabinet could be great centered on the wall where the desk/wall unit is now. You could add a small art print above and your decanters, wine glasses and ice bucket on top.

I'm taking that as a compliment so...Thanks! My husband and I lived in ONE room with three dogs before we bought our house.. I know function in small spaces! Ha ;)

How awesome there is another place for that huge piece of furniture as I love knowing you will still have it to use. The little fridge takes away from the look you are going after. I love the idea of a console table going on the wall and set up like a bar area and art above it. Would there be room for a comfy chair where the fridge is now?

Yes, Kelsea, definitely a compliment. When I imagine your idea, I see the desk being used as both desk and bar, changing out necessary tools that are, of course, stored on the bookcases. The stool would be a comfortable seat at the desk but could also serve as additional seating elsewhere for the party that is going on when the bar is in use!

Just a thought...how about a parson's desk and two x stools with the shelves. All of these from Crate and Barrel, but probably not the right size, just the right shapes
