Dishwasher with handle bar or without?

We bought a new dishwasher and my husband told me all our appliances have a handle ( ovens, fridge, trash compactor ) so dw with handle would match with the flow. However , I wanted to go with what’s more popular and people told me it’s without so we bought that.

now I m

not sure if that was the right decision and from design perspective , it looks odd?

It looks fine from what little you can see . in my opinion you’d have trouble matching that exact handle and having any old handle would not necessarily match better.

I like a handle on our dishwasher because it gives me a place to hang a hand towel. But if you have other places that’s works too.

Looks fine. I. Jose my scoop handle one cause I get. Agar and hit myself on anything sticking out including kitchen handles. I also chose my stove partly based on the handle.

It doesn't look at all odd. I hope you bought the dishwasher that will do the best job of cleaning and drying your dishes and are happy with the way it performs. The new Kitchen Aid dishwasher styles with bar handle match my new Kitchen Aid refrigerator perfectly. I'll not be buying it. I have a utensil drawer at a right angle to my dishwasher and it wouldn't clear the bar to open without opening the dishwasher door. I am forever resigned to a finger cubby, not handle. I'm fine with that ;0)

Thanks all of you. it makes me feel so much better!

I am very happy with the working of the dw. I am putting my dishes/plates /cup straight from table to inside the dw without rinsing( i just loosely flick away big food chunks if at all)

It has an amazing capacity too! Drying is better than my previous.

It actually took me a bit to realize that the inset was actually an inset and not a curved handle. Optical illusion. It looks great :)

I like it. This is what I want for my next DW and I have handles on the oven and fridge.

Actually the performance would have been the same because it’s bosch 800 series shpm88z75n and it’s available in both with handle and without.

as long as it doesn’t look very odd, I m ok with it. Though ergonomically I would say handle feels better because you can grab it from anywhere along its length .. however with this , there is only a grabbing spot In a smaller middle part. Before, I used to be able to open while crouching down as I picked up the dw tab from the adjacent under sink cabinet, but now I have to stand up and do it .

I don’t hang a towel but I do hang a cute door sign on it ( it was by incident I discovered it could be a way of telling people that it’s clean , and when I unload it, And load dirty dishes , I remove the sign, because the magnets don’t stick to it so that was the only solution I came across by chance ) so now with the handleless, I ll have to think of another solution ..

I like the handle on my Bosch because it keeps dirty hands off of the stainless front so there is less cleaning or wiping down constantly.

My dishwasher has the handle, but I wish I'd chosen the one like yours where you have to open it from the center. My Bosch door is tilting now because we grab the part of the handle nearest the sink to open it.

Oh .. do you have warranty on the dishwasher ?

Interesting about the counter. Ours comes out as far as the handle.

We just installed a brand new Bosch with no handle, one drawer set away from a corner sink. I’m finding it harder/more awkward to open the dishwasher door without the handle... but I guess I’ll get used to it...

Yes me too. now that I have handle less, I am missing my old handle. However , the working is great so I m fine.

Out of sight -out of mind

Hang a dish towel over the oven door when not in use-.

No one will see a difference
