Not sure what the fan is supposed to be contributing but if you have read depictions of what set of conditions this plant needs to survive indoors then focus on providing yours with that complete package.

First thing I wonder is if the part of the room it is in is bright enough. Otherwise that undersized decorative planter - definitely give it a bigger pot next spring - looks to be one that might not have drain holes. If that is actually the case you need to get the plant out of it now and into a pot that does drain.

That's just my humidifier, and that pot does have one large drainage hole but i wondered if if was too small. It was about the same size as the pot it was in when i received it and i was thinking with such a small root system it would be okay but I'll try moving it to a bigger ot when it gets a bit warmer. The spot it's in gets about 2-3 hours direct sun each day but I've read conflicting things about their light requirements. Some websites say bright indirect and some say 4 hours direct sun so i wasnt sure. I'll move it a bit closer so it can get some more direct sun and hopefully that'll help. Thank you for the tips!

Indoor Sun light through windows is no where close to the amount of light outside. About half as much as outside and that is if you have the plant right next to a window. You can safely move it close to the window. It may still drop a few more leaves as it adjusts. But definitely needs a lot more light than where it is now. It is natural for plants to drop leaves when brought indoors - it is their way of adjusting to lower lights. It just cannot sustain that many leaves with lower light level. Yellowing starts with lower leaves - indication that the plant is withdrawing nutrients out of those leaves and re-distributing to upper leaves to sustain them.

If your plan is to keep it small or smaller like a bonsai then providing a bigger pot will be counter to that aim.
