Backsplash advise - accent behind range?

last month

Hi, I'm looking for a little advise here, I'm not the most design savvy but definitely have my opinions. I'm pretty much settled on a beveled marble subway backsplash as the sample pictured shows. I don't like traditional subway, and this tile is much more interesting to me mainly due to color variation and depth of the tiles. Would you just tile across the whole area behind the range, or do some sort of accent? If an accent, I'm wondering if I just use the same tiles to do a herringbone pattern, or would hexagon or arabesque marble tiles (with a border of course) be an option?
