I'm agonizing over a "small" thing, but as we know with home remodeling, it's hard to change once finished.

We're gutting our master bathroom, which has an exterior door to the backyard. We are adding casing to the exterior windows/doors of the bathroom to match the rest of the house, but there is not enough room on the left side of the door for the full width of casing, so it would be cut off (pic below).

The location of the door is not moving (see plans, difficult to do/not an option at this point).

The question is:

1. Keep the casing and have it cut off on the left side, as pictured below ....OR....

2. Don't have any casing at all around this exterior door.
