Cool grays look blue-gray, which is fine if that’s what you want.

Thanks. Looked up best Benjamin Moore grays for cabinets...gray cloud was not one of them. I like a cool gray just don’t want it to look like baby blue.

Found this on the google. In this room it looks more blue, but grays can be fickle! Try out samples in your room so you can see the color in all lights.

Bunny gray, but it can lean blue. Paint a big swatch and look at it in all lights, at all times of day. Stonington Gray is pretty neutral but looks a little blue in my dark kitchen.

I did Gray Cloud in my bathroom (but on the walls) it leans cooler, but not too blue. really more on the silver spectrum.

and there's a lot of natural light in here.

what about timber wolf? it's next to gray cloud

I did Silver Half dollar in my family room, and it definitely leans blue

anyway you could grab some samples and see them w/your lighting in the kitchen?

the type of light you get in the kitchen will play a big role in determining how the shade actually looks. that's why I mentioned for you to try out some samples.

That's interesting, Beth. I also used Gray Cloud on the walls and ceiling of my master bathroom. It is very pretty but definitely a toned down blue. It totally depends on the lighting in your room, as well as what's on the floor, and what's outside the windows.

You could try Metro Gray (1459), which is a very neutral gray with a low chroma.

Diana,,against the marble with nothing else in the room, it shows the blue

so maybe having the other elements, along w/the strong afternoon sun through the skylight, brings out more of the gray.

We want our cabinets to be very light gray, on the cool side. Not a fan of beige, but don’t want them to look like light blue. There is fair lighting in the kitchen. Color has to be Benjamin Moore.

stick w/some of the regular, neutral grays then. make sure bulbs are in the 3500-4000K temp range. Always bring home a sample, paint it on some spare wood (prime it first) and see how it looks. (or your painter should give you a sample first before committing to painting all of them)

this is SW Crushed Ice, but it's a beautiful, neutral gray. see what BM color they recommend that is equal to this one.

The flooring is 4x16 honed carrara.

Since you are looking for a very light gray, consider BM Misty Gray, which is a very pale cool gray.

One of our kids bathrooms has cabinets lacquered in Thundercloud gray by BM. I really love it. It’s in a bathroom with cooler temp lighting and definitely does not look baby blue at all. Let me see if i can find a pic
