That could be fun! I have way too many seeds if we want to get this rolling, I'd be happy to "unload" some of my extras and clean up the "collection."

I probably have a fair amount of packets that I could divide. If we do this I think it would be better to have before spring direct seeding or indoor starts occur.

Yeah, I agree Greg, probably sometime soon. Next month or early March. I have a lot of seed that require 4-8 weeks of cold stratification that if anyone was interested in them would want to get that started this winter/early spring as well.

I wish I was more organized like Oladon - on the computer- i keep my seeds in boxes labeled by the year.

I’m expecting a baby in March (!) so I will not be starting anything from seed this year. But I’m happy to give away what I have. Some are several years old but some are newer.

I did an experiment last year and planted some cucumber and zinnia seeds that I'd found tucked away in the basement. Some were from 2009 and still sprouted! I've also had good luck resurrecting old lettuce, bean, tomato and pepper seeds. So before anyone tosses out their old seeds, give 'em a go via the damp paper towel method. You might find that they might still have some life in 'em!

According to the NWS and our local news, it doesn't appear that the weather will be permitting much of anything for a while. My schedule is also fairly hectic, but I would probably be able to eek in a weekend afternoon sometime should we get a plan together at some point.

If we're going to do this we should probably set a date and a host otherwise we could possibly also send seeds in the mail. I'm working on a list of what seeds I have right now.

I still need to get my act together and sort all my seeds out, but I'd be very interested in some of your Hardy Kiwi and/or other Asian varietals; i.e., He Shi Ko bunching onions, Tatsoi, Choy Sum, Bok Choi, etc. I LOVE stir fry veggies, but just haven't branched out yet as I'm limited for garden space and wasn't sure how they'd do in our rough and tumble climate.

I have a considerable overlap with some of your other heirloom garden veggies, but I hope to write up (soon!) my selection of herbs and flower seeds for native pollinators if you'd be needing any.
