When do fall-planted peonies sprout?

This past fall, I planted my first peonies ever: two coral sunset and two scrumdiddlyumptious itoh. I know I won't see blooms this year. I also didn't expect to see them sprout until spring.

But one did. It's a scrumdiddly. It's been a very mild winter so far, and it seems to be thriving. Does this mean the other three are duds?

And will the sprouted one be ok through winter? When are fall-planted peonies supposed to sprout?

Thank you so much!
