should I move this struggling juniper?

I have two blue arrow junipers, planted at the same time. The one in the front yard doesn't get as much light and has a large silver Maple to compete with. The one in the backyard is happy although I planted it too close to the deck. It has grown larger than anticipated but is really beautiful.

My husband says to just leave it. I want to move it to the backyard and see if it makes it.

The one in the front does look kind of scrawny. If you want to move it, I think you will have better success doing so while it's small.

Both are too close to adjacent structures - these are trees.

Id say move the one that is struggling, it will never get enough light where its at. Better to give it a chance than to let it starve. The bigger the root ball you can save, the better your odds

Thanks Good Thyme, I agree. I'll move it this spring.
