Basement is Leaking

My basement is leaking when it rains out around the area where the steel support beam enters the foundation. There is a porous concrete-like material in this area where the water is entering. I tried putting liquid Flex Seal on it but is not helping. What should I do?

Are your gutters and downspouts clean? Are the downspout outlets located far enough away from the foundation and directing water away from the foundation? Is the earth adequately sloped away from the foundation?

Water around a house's foundation has surprising pressure. It can get through a lot. I've seen pinhole leaks squirt 6 feet.

Try keeping the water away from the area, as Sammy suggests. If that doesn't fix it, you can try hydraulic cement, though that may not work now that you've contaminated the area with "as seen on TV" chemical goop.

Most likely it will have to be waterproofed from the outside, which will probably mean some excavation is in your future.
