Will you post a picture with a wide view of the room?

What color are your new planks? Will you be changing the wall color as well? Grey and white are cool colors, your walls are a warm tan. Even though they are both neutrals they often don't play nice together.

Will the clock be staying above the mantle? It looks a little large for space.

We are removing walls from the room but below are the floor planks, cabinet/island colors and countertop.

Your new floors look nice! What's is your budget for the fireplace?

Before you get your floors redone, I would definitely decide what to do about the red hearth tiles so you won't have to later yank the tiles out of your new floor.

A low budget update would be to beef up the mantle and the trim and paint it to match the existing trim in the room.

No specific budget. We will definitely be replacing the tile, hoping to have a flush hearth.

I’m sorry that I can’t offer advice, as I’d be asking the same questions you are!! But I wanted to comment that your inspiration photo will look beautiful in your home with what You’ve chosen so far (floors, etc). Waiting to hear what others suggest and how you implement the advice.
