Great floors! Can you show a picture of the t.v. area?

Well that's interesting ;) I think you're right about ignoring the t.v. area altogether. Even though the window isn't centered, I would put the bed on the window wall opposite the doors. In theory, you get better sleep when you are facing the door as opposed to not being able to see it from the bed. Is the wall color staying as is? If so, I would look at having a roman shade made to match the wall color to help hide the fact that the window is off center. Then add a dresser opposite the bed with the t.v. over it.

That's the way I am leaning as well, I would centre the bed on the window, maybe add some curtain panels on either side to make it look more substantial.
I am slightly concerned that one will be able to see the toilet from the bed but I guess I could put up a screen if needed.
wall colour is not staying as is. It will likely be white with possibly the walk in closet bump out & vanity a darker colour. were looking at changing out the laminate for now to make it all bearable
I wish it was in the budget to do the whole thing now!

Would NOT ignore the tv thingy -- would remove it entirely. Would Put a wall between the bedroom and bath.

Would want a standard (hinge on one side) bedroom door and would put the door to the walk in closet from the bedroom behind where the bedroom door would swing open.

Agree that you should consider using the high window as a faux headboard but, instead of curtains, add plantation shutters and add bi-fold doors in the same wood finish or paint color for the sliding door instead of curtains.

@suezbell - most of that is in the long term plan, but won't be in the works for at LEAST another couple of years. We've already tapped out with a major reno to the rest of the house and just want to slap some lipstick on this space for the time being.

Good thoughts re: the window/headboards but I don't think plantation shutters are the look we're going for here. I'll keep perusing houzz for more ideas for a more contemporary option.
