Thoughts about a boat-shaped dining table? Pros - cons?

Considering a boat-shaped dining table. Alternative would be a rectangular table. Whichever we get, it would be about 6-1/2 to 7’ long and around 44” wide. We typically have no more than 6 people at the table, but we’d want to be able to seat 10. Thanks in advance for your input.
