Hey, Houzz community! I am asking for your input on creative or cute solutions for a small desk with a little storage. I will use the desk working from home, and need to accommodate a laptop and a separate 24" monitor. If at all possible, the desk needs to be 36" wide or less. (I will angle the free-standing monitor to the left of the laptop.) My style preference leans toward transitional, country, farmhouse - nothing modern - and I am "allergic" to straight legs on furniture. This desk will be placed either in the living room or the dining room, so I want it to be a nice piece, as it will be seen by company. When I am not working, I will put the monitor away in a closet.
