Best runner rug size

Having trouble deciding on what size runner I should get for my 3'x14' hall. I would like it to match my area rug so I don't have too many options. I'm stuck between these options: 2'1"x8' or 2'6"x12' or 2'6"x14'. I'm afraid 2'6" might be too wide, but of course 8' is also too short. Any recommendations or am I overthinking this?
