Found a vanity from Loews that I really like. Does anyone have experience with their quality?

It's not "Loews" product. It is allen + roth product. Loews doesn't "make" anything.

    Doesn't sound good : (

I have a 42" Allen + Roth vanity from Lowe's in my garage waiting for installation. What I can tell you is it was EXTREMELY well-packed with corner bracing and padding and Styrofoam. The legs are not attached when it is shipped but the top and sink are.... which makes it really heavy. The back on mine is mostly open (3 big spaces) for plumbing access. The pre-drilled holes on the counter top for the wide-spread are 1 1/8" and will fit my new faucet set. Hardware is packaged but holes in doors/drawers are pre-drilled and hold the screws with protection against the wood surface. I was impressed with the quality of the packing and care that went into shipping a relatively inexpensive vanity.

My 42" vanity weighs 180 lbs. The stone top on mine is solid white with no veining but it was advertised as "engineered stone" not marble. As far as I can tell now the craftsmanship looks good, the finish is excellent on the doors and cabinet. I can't speak to the complaints on FB in the link Jan shared about the water marks/stains on the top surface. I see a LOT of Houzz posts about water marks and stains on high-dollar custom quartz/stone surfaces so I am sure it is possible.

Lowe's has a return policy of 90 days but it would be a huge hassle for something this big and heavy. I did make them open the box when I picked it up to check the appearance of the top and the wood fronts. I will come back and update this after installation and some use. I AM concerned about stains and water marks on the top, but as I said we all see complaints about countertop surfaces here from time to time.

Thank you for that info. I can’t open the link Jan sent for some reason. The one I chose seems to have a lot of great reviews so we shall see. Keep me posted on yours! Thanks!

My link was a facebook post. Top stained like crazy. So if it is marble top? Know she couldn't set so much as a soap dish on it. ..................couldn't get water on it, despite sealing. Loews did not honor it.

Marble has it's properties but that could be pretty darn cheesy for all you know. I'd test the one on the floor.at Loews.

DON'T BUT ALLEN & ROTH PRODUCTS! THEY ARE MADE FOR THE BATHROOM BUT CAN'T GET WET! I recently bought over $1500 worth of Allen & Roth vanities when we renovated our bathrooms. Allen & Roth is the Lowe's signature brand. They looked beautiful in the store as in our bathrooms, but guess what? The stone counters can't get wet without staining even though we had them sealed by a pro. I even called the company directly, complaining about water stains and was told that there was nothing that could be done. I expressed my surprise that they would sell a product for the bathroom that can't get wet. The woman in customer service, though very nice, said that is what she is told to tell customers. She said if I wanted, I could return the product, but that Lowe's would not pay for a re-installation by a professional. Not only does water stain the stone, but so does any item placed on it, like soap dishes, soap dispensers, etc. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT!

First off the cabinets/counter tops are coming from China so they are not sealed - you can purchase a sealer and do it yourself. Secondly, a number of year's ago McDonald's had to re-call the tumblers they put into our children's Happy Meals because they tumblers had lead paint - from China! As a designer and cabinet sales person, I've always been concerned as to what we are actually getting from China.

I think if you consider what you are getting, cabinet, counter top, sink, and what you're paying you shouldn't expect too much. Does it look good? Yes; will it's last year's and year's? Highly doubt it...

Another thing I tell my clients; don't buy your plumbing fixtures from the big box stores. Even though they are made by Kohler or Moen, the interior parts are plastic - if you get 2 year's out of them you're doing good. Best to go to a plumbing fixture store and pay the price for a quality product.

Now I'll get off my soap box :)
