The banquette seat and backs were made by our millwork and upholstery suppliers. They are fixed and integral to the banquette and held in place using french cleats.

no, those just get locked in by the back cushions.

This is really beautiful and we are in the process of moving so this will be a great feature in our new home. One about measurements. What is the height of the base? - looks 12". What is the thickness of the seat cushion? - looks 6". Am I correct in my assumption?

You got it, in this application, it's a dining height table so you want to aim for a seat height between 18"-19". Good luck with the project.

Hi Again, one more question about the cushions. what is the depth of the seat cushion? does that depth take into consideration the thickness of the back cushion? if not, what is the thickness of the back cushion at the base?

For this project, we didn't have a lot of depth to play with so the seat depth (not including back) is 18". the thickness of the back cushion add +/- 4". I hope this helps.
