I guess that demonstrates why no one in their right mind advertises their roses to be "virus free". Even when you THINK they are, they just might not be and if they aren't, YOU are left holding the bag. Better to simply obtain clean material and slip it into the pipeline and not say a word. No one is going to tar and feather you for producing healthy, clean stock, but they are certain to demonize you if something undesired slips through.

IMO this is a good step in the right direction - of course UC Davis has a huge disclaimer! They have lawyers who undoubtedly have to vet anything - that is to be expected for a part of a huge institution. In any event, much better than just taking the risk randomly -
