Hi I figured if anyone here has grown them, it would be you lol. I always look forward to your sound advice!

When do you normally plant them? Would now be too soon? Our last frost date is usually around the beginning of March but if I started them in little pots, I could stick them in the gh if we get a late freeze etc.

I got my seeds from Southern Exposure Seed. It was my first time ordering from them so hopefully they will be good lol.

I kind of follow the schedule that I had in Arizona, plant them around January and if planted outdoors be ready to cover them or like you said have them in containers and protect them if a freeze is coming.

I planted winter and summer squash already in the beds and they are growing fine, tomatoes are also outdoors, we had few cold nights and they are fine without covering them.

Southern Exposure is a good place for Southern veggies so that will be some elongated squashes, I think but not sure.

Thank you :) We are going down to 37F tomorrow night and 40F tonight with rain. If the temps go back up after tomorrow, I will go ahead and plant them. I wish I was a little further south, I feel like I could plant stuff so much earlier.

I have so many tiny mulberries forming now on my Dwarf Mulberry tree, I hope we dont get another freeze. All my plants think its spring already.

ive had mixed result from them one year good the next not so much they taste good and i let them grow up a small oak in the empty lot next door. they didnt come up for me this year but im going to try a pumpkin from the islands any way. a friend is growing them and get way more than i ever got from the seminole with luck i will have seeds to share next year.

Your Island Pumpkin seeds sound neat. Please post about your growing experience and the fruits. Which Islands are they from?
