Beautiful Matthew! I’ve always wanted to grow this one .. hope you’ll share more when she grows up !

She is a beauty. Singles like this one have a lot of charm and look lovely in the garden. Looking forward also to seeing more of her.

Matthew, I love Dainty Bess, which I've grown for about 13 years. She was from Pickering Roses in Canada and is grafted on multiflora rootstock. In my zone, she is quite vigorous and blooms pretty much all season. Because of a huge boxwood squeezing in on her and blocking the sun, she grows really tall (7-8 feet); she's a very straight up growing hybrid tea. I prune her pretty hard in spring, and she responds well. Now, if I can just get my son in law to remove that boxwood this year, she would have a nicer shape. Diane

I love DB so much! She’s just so adorable. I’ve heard that she is very bs prone in the SE, but I’m so happy she’s growing for y’all. :-)

DB is the single that changed my mind about singles. There is just something about the simple charm of her. I do have BS issues but I grow her anyway!

I just love her dark red stamens! Is she fragrant at all?

Ahh hence the clean foliage lol , i dont have love song (YET) but i do grow angel face and she is black spotty mess that i will probably replace i just love the color and fragrance, hard to give up.

Out here in the desert we don't have black spot, so Angel Face is disease free, too. Unfortunately, Love Song doesn't have the beautiful scent of Angel Face. Perfection is difficult to achieve, I guess. Diane

Mmmm, what a lovely bouquet of beautiful singles. I wish I had room to grow more. Another great single I recommend is the Canadian rose, Morden Sunrise. I should try it in a bouquet like you've done. What are your other singles in the photo? Diane

They are Robusta (red at 11:00). This one was a disappointment to me. I thought it would have alot more flowers and they would be bigger. It is, however, my largest bush and it is extremely winter hardy. Also lots of thorns.

Playboy (orange at 1:00). This was an unexpected surprise. Love this rose! It glows when in bloom and always has lots of blooms. I almost didn't get it but had a spot and threw it in the batch as an afterthought because I liked the bloom but hated the name. Thought I would probably end up pulling it and instead it is one of my favorites.

Sally Holmes (cream/yellow/white at 3:00). I love this one also. Matt from HCR recommended it and I didn't particularily care for it but I thought I should try one that he endorsed so strongly. Now it is a favorite.

Chuckles (pink at 5:00). These have been terrible for me. They didn't grow in sun and the blooms burned. So I moved them to shade where they didn't grow. I love the color but they may come out this year unless they take off. This is their second year in the new shady spot.

Golden Wings (yellow 7-9:00). This bush blooms profusely. Grows really well. Flowers individually are pretty but I don't like it very much. It is the first one the Japanese Beetles eat so the flowers are only there in the morning before they get munched and some how the combination of the flowers with the foliage doesn't appeal to me. Hard to justify removing something that is thriving though.

I've seen Morden Sunrise and it does really well here. My neighbor has one that they love. But I think I am leaning toward more saturated colors. I love the bright ones!
