You have a lovely home. If I were in your shoes I would paint the garage door a color that blends with the brick surrounding the garage door. I would paint the front door a deep aubergine color. Then choose appropriate landscaping that was a mix of greens, deep purples and a sprinkle of yellow flowers.

Before the curb appeal, make sure about the drainage from the foundation where you took out the retaining wall timbers. When our neighbor did that on their side of our Zero lot line house, we got a foundation crack. It let the soil wash out. In our new neighborhood a friend had a flood from building up a flower bed edging higher than the brick weep holes. It let mildly heavy rains back up into the house. Try to avoid either extreme as you relandscape.

Can't see the stoop area very well. It would be better if you took photos that showed this:

To do it, move in closer and take slightly overlapping photos that pan a wide area ... when the light is good. It's too dark in the above photo.

@kathleen MK thank you for the suggestion. We took some soil out and then replaced the wall timbers with edging to keep most of it the same but add more of a round shape rather than box. We ran out of time to do more than that because of the weather. There is a slight slope up to the house. Do you think we need to change anything else? Most homes in our neighborhood either have nothing in front of the concrete patio or only have a few bushes.
