Decent storm door hardware?

We are having a beautiful, heavy duty wood screen for made. I do not like the hardware choices the woodworker provides. it needs to be surface mounted (vs mortised or like regular interior passage sets). I do not want the old-fashioned screen door hardware with tiny lever and tiny knob. So I’m looking at storm door hardware. But it is all pretty cheap-looking and has a swoopy lever on exterior. Does anyone make excellent (or even decent) quality storm door hardware with a modern adult-size lever (or knob) on outside? Inside could be the small push handle that most storm door hardware has. I would be fine with something like the photo here, but don’t know who makes it and can’t find it for sale anywhere. Thanks!

Not a fan. Choose stainless steel for hinges and knobs for any storm door -- it will, after all, be exposed to the weather.

If this door is custom made, don't accept "screen" door hardware -- choose actual door hinges and dead bolt lock and an actual door handle/knob -- perhaps a (handicap styled) lever instead of a knob.

suzebell, our woodworker says for that same reason (exposure to weather), he always suggests surface mounted hardware. I’d be fine with stainless steel. Can you recommend a set?

suzebell, I thought same. But this guy has been making excellent wood screen doors for many years, and says regular door hardware ends up with the bolt and hole not lining up eventually, due to door and jam responding to moisture over time. I don’t see how it’s so different from an exterior door, but I guess because it’s OUTSIDE the exterior door/walls?
