You do know you can get some fab backlit mirrors right? I honestly would not do sconces in 7” space a light above the mirrors will be too much so I would just do center lighting in 4000K Leds instead.

@patricia Colwell Consulting - Thanks. We like the idea of the light coming out the sides from behind the mirror instead of through frosted glass on the edges of the mirror. I think the photo below shows something like this. What do you mean by “center lighting”? Do you have an example of what this would look like?
