    Valerie's Vanity

Paula, when I get honked at, I like to get out of my car and go ask the honker what they want. They usually just speed off.

old_dirt..Valerie's Vanity is a beautiful green..that's hilarious to get out and ask a honker what they want!..maybe you scared them and from now on they won't honk at anyone else Lol..

    Glossy ruffles

Great to see that nice Glossy Ruffles. I'm looking forward to mine growing up. It survived the previous winter in a pot and is now happier (I hope) in the ground. It looks good small (but not good enough for me to post - yet).

its a fast grower but don't give it full sun. more like part shade. the glossy wax will burn off too fast. also if it gets part shade the leaves will be larger and the mound be large once it leaps. texture is similar to invincible as far as damage by slugs and hail.

color is lighter green than irish luck and more gloss. large leaves will be floppy but inner leaves will have more intense ruffles than irish luck. it maybe triploid acounting for its vigor but lack of pod set. but so is sum and substance. the blooms are large and significant. fragrance is slighter than invincible.

I am a little late on the greens.

peren.all what a beautiful Black Hills, I ordered it this year I hope one day it will look like yours.

Steve your Lakeside Full Tide is getting amazing.

Thanks for the tips on Glossy Ruffles. Good to know I have it planted in the right spot. I'm hoping for a mini leap this year, but since it overwintered in a pot the first year, it may just creep for me. Since I keep talking about it, here it is. Please don't judge the little guy too harshly. From early August, one year after purchase.

I think he’s cute in all his shining splendor!

Beth so glad you are getting Black Hills, it is among my favorites and deserves more popularity. It will be fun to see it's progress in your garden. I recall it being a fast grower but it has been maybe 14 years in my garden so ....

hosta_maker I do enjoy a glossy leaf! Can we assume this is your introduction?

Steve lucky you having Glossy Ruffles!

Beth it is ...wait til the Reds roll around I'll show a few new ones

steve good things will come to those that wait

and thanks for the pic. I've actually never seen any of mine out of tc. Other than a pic of a test tube.

it was op but the mother grew next to stingray so I assume it's invincible x stingray. I had a stingray thing for awhile.

I actually have Stingray within 20 feet of the little guy. I hope it becomes a thing for me. I always thought Stingray would make nice kids.
