I just stated growing Plum perfect so too early to say , however the bloom did last a nice long time on the bush.

Dark Desire had a pretty nice vase life and som does Earth Angel.

I think the majority of Kordes roses have good substance and last long. The greater problem in TX is that some of them don’t bloom much at all during our summers.

BenT the Kordes not reblooming have been a big issue in my garden. Except for Bordeaux which is a true continuous bloomer and Dark desire (good repeat but not continuous) the other ones just give me rare blooms through the summer. I am hopping they just take longer because they are growing so much. If they don’t improve after 5 years I will remove them.

Thank you all! Love the pictures. I too am hoping the Kordes Roses rebloom better as they get established. Bordeaux was never out of bloom for me this past year, but I’m inclined to agree that several of the other Kordes bushes did not rebloom much over the heat of the summer.

I'm down to one Kordes rose. I don't particularly like them, and they don't bloom all that well here, either. When Caramel Antique is gone, I don't plan to get any more Kordes roses. Diane

Five years, you are truly patient, but then again you are young! I agree there are some Kordes that re-bloom very well in the hot south...Soul Sister is almost non-stop for me. But most want a longer summer break than a school kid! I also think many of them have rather coarse and unrefined form, and need to be extra bloomy and healthy to make up for it.

I have Dark Desire. It reblooms a lot now that I do not try and keep him shorter than he wants to be.... He will get to be about 15 foot tall here in Florida. HE is not a climber but he sure thinks he is one..... In fact, by accident I found that if his long limbs lays over it will put out laterals..... He does last a long time in the vase. I also have Beverly and she lasts a long time in the vase. I think she is more fragrant than Dark Desire at least in South Florida. She seems to bloom quite a bit. Another one I grow is Earth Angel, but it dose not last very long unless I cut it really really early.... kind of before they open all the way, because if they open on the bush they drop the petals really fast .... again I think that is because of my heat and humidity.

I also have Lavender Veranda.... it makes a cute little bouquet.... I can't detect any scent....

I know that SoFl grows Wedding Bells and she says it lasts quite a while in the vase as well.... she also says it is one of her best in her garden and she does no spray...

Fire Opal is a great bloomer for me as well as for Lilyfinch when she lived in TN. I wouldn't think it's a good cut flower, however. Milano also blooms alot, but BSs. Summer Romance responded well to a good haircut both in the Spring and after blooming. Cori Ann experienced the same thing. First Crush is a slow grower and bloomer here; the buds take forever to open and stay pretty for a while, so I imagine it might make a good cut flower.

Bordeaux is a great cut rose. Summer Romamce can be good but sometimes it falls apart if you look at it. First Crush was lovely in NC as a cut rose. Here it just didn't want to bloom.

I enjoy the others on the bush bit don't bring them in. Heartsong might last a little while but I doubt Fire Opal would. She blows pretty quickly.

Cream Veranda, Plum Perfect and Zaide are awesome for cut flowers. Anything over 3 days is good in my opinion but these last at least 5 or more days.

Summer Romance is kinda fickle here. Blooms great but once cut it just doesn’t keep a pretty look after a couple days.

First Crush is absolutely gorgeous but if you cut in bud it will not open. It’s blooms tend to diminish inside too.

Crazy Love is tones for me to judge.
