Should I cut back coleus or root new cuttings

My coleus overwintered nicely. The branches at the base are quite thick, about 3/4 inches in diameter. they don’t look like they are going to die even though they are called annuals. Since they are leggy, should I cut them back and then they will regrow? Will they look good again or should I just root cuttings to make new annuals? it just seems like they are not annuals! Thanks for any insight
