Solar panels for manufactured homes?

So I know many manufactured homes don't have rooves strong enough to support solar panels on top. I'm wondering if anyone has installed solar at their home, and how they did it. We were thinking of possibly replacing our carport with a stronger structure that could hold solar.
Any success stories?
