Tell your electrician to come back, and fix the ceiling when he is done removing and getting you one box on center. You don't need two.

IMO I like track light in a walk in to aim the lighting where I need it LEDs in 4000K so colors look true and IMO fancy lights in a small walk in are not needed. You could do 2 tracks now that you have the boxes I think better too much lighting than not enough.Center lights in any space suck for lighting they cast shadows and make choosing pieces hard.

I think two light fixtures are perfect for a closet. I have two in mine and our closets are similar sizes. I have them on dimmers so I can control the intensity of the lights. I have recessed light but would recommend the newer LED thin recessed light fixtures. I have these in my hallway from Lotus LED. They come in different sizes and configurations. They run $60- $80 each. Very easy to install.

The Lumens website seems to have an excellent selection if you want to shop online. I'd focus on the flush mounts especially if your shelving goes to the ceiling.

I put a solar tube in my closet besides my lights. It gives that extra light that we needed. It is nice because we don't always need to turn on the lights to see.
