Hi,

I was hoping I could get some help in regards to creating a new flower garden. My SO and I are trying to pick some perennial flowers that will be extremely easy to maintain and capable of surviving drought conditions. We will water them, but they still need to be hardy. We live in Chilton County, which is between Birmingham and Montgomery. We would like to have as many seasons of color or foliage as possible, but nothing over +/- 5 feet tall.

I have found several shrubs on the BrighterBlooms website that I like and seem to meet our criteria, but I am not quite sure which ones I should go with (except the Four Seasons Gardenia; I definitely want it) or how to arrange them. I will post a picture listing the ones I have found, as well as a rough diagram of the garden area, but I would love some suggestions of other places (reputable online sellers) where I could find flowers. There are some nurseries around, but I haven't had time to explore them yet.
