Did I cause the borer damage on my Hyd. since I did not nail polish/glue etc the ends :-)

Maybe the sap was something attracting it after a hungry winter.

I gave my LL trees a good haircut 3 weeks ago or so. Came back to them today to flush cut them based on bud showing. Anyhow, had a few with cane damage Had to cut back pretty hard till I saw solid wood.

Needless to say, after I was done -- which I never do, but I did today, I did put glue on all the ends
