Streaks on new laminate countertop

We just had a new laminate countertop installed (Wilsonart white carrera). After the installer left, I noticed streaks that don’t come off with soap and water. Is there something I can do to resolve this or is it a botched job? He claimed that I just needed to wipe it with acetone, but I’m afraid of ruining it.
