Love The Privacy Wall

Hi There,

I love the Privacy wall! Can you tell me the dimensions of the boards, slats and posts? Also, at what height did you switch from boards to thinner slats? Are they hammered or screwed in and what color stain did you use? Sorry for so many questions- it's just spectacular!

Hi! Thank you for your praise of this rooftop parapet/screen wall. This design was for a Client about 12 years ago, so pardon my modest recollection of the details here as the drawings have long been archived.

The construction is far more complex than may appear as was crafted by on of LA's finest woodworking shops. Its minimalist detailing is in part due to counter sunk and plugged screws. We also used stainless steel vertical fins as part of the construction's integrity given size of some lumber members and as plates for form of attachment.

All lumber was IPE and was Penofin Oiled to finish. Its 7' height was split roughly 4' for the lower portion and 3' for the upper. Lower boards were 1 x 6, while upper were 1 x 2.

Hope this helps. For anything more, we can be hired to design something unique for you :)
