I would install swing arm wall lamps—that take three-way bulbs—on both sides of the bed, and get rid of the current bedside lamp. I’d also put a little lamp on the desk. Actually, that’s where you could put the lamp that’s currently next to the bed. Where do guests put their clothes when they unpack—is there a dresser? Is there a decent-sized mirror in the room?

Edited to add that the nesting tables (which is a terrific idea, btw!) need to be rotated clockwise 90°.

These are some great ideas. To respond to Sammy first, the space is very tight on the far side of the bed. I'm not sure the swing arms would work, but I do love the idea. We have a folding luggage stand for guests to place their bag. A corner I didn't photograph will have a standing, full length mirror. We placed the nesting tables the way we did, rather than the traditional way, because it was easier to get to your cell phone in the night that way.

My guest room is mostly used when my son's (and one wife) come to visit, so I was leaning more industrial or modern farmhouse than feminine. I would still like to replace the ceiling light, but with that floor lamp, I would not have to be as concerned about how bright it is.

It is neat but only has 1 bulb. I do not think it will be enough to light the room. I would not personally use any chandelier that had less than 4 bulbs. I like a room to be well lit though, due to eyesight issues.

I really really wanted to like it because it was such a statement piece and unique but I agree with you that it's not quite right... darn it.

I'm leaning toward the second chandelier Ida suggested and the lamp with the usb connection. One feminine piece and one more clean lined.

I think if you like it, that’s all that matters. :)

I’m not loving it myself. I certainly don’t think it looks terrible or anything, I just don’t think it fits the aesthetic in there (even with an eclectic goal in mind) as well as some of the others. It just doesn’t feel connected to anything else.

But its a cool light and again, it only matters if you like it! And ... it’s hard to know exactly from just mock-ups. If I saw it in there, I might love it.

I happen to like it. I find with the milk glass it gives a vintage feel with the modern arm style. I will say this.... it is a different feel from the table lamp you currently have, but I think it works with the floor lamp you like with the usb port... if you put the chandelier and floor lamp in the room, the table lamp becomes a bit of an outlier...

Theresa, I understand where you are coming from. The table lamp is new, so it would not be popular with my husband to ditch it.

Before you all shoot me, here is one more combo I found. The chandelier is both gold and bronze metal, with white glass. The floor lamp has white glass and wood. One other thing to consider is that in the corner, next to the closet, there will be a standing black metal floor mirror. If they can ever ship one that isn't broken, that is. I think that helps tie the lamp at the bed to everything else. Yes?
