The color of the vinyl siding is a tan, the trim is a cream color. Originally I wanted to do a glossy black or charcoal door. But I'm worried that it will be too dark especially with a covered porch. Also the front of the house is north facing, so most of the year the front yard is in the shade. I'd really like to steer clear from red as well. I'm open to blues and greens.

Feel free to comment on landscape / plant ideas as well. I'm thinking of mixing up ornamental grasses with boxwood lining the path to the house.
