I am not sure where you live, but here in Colorado Krimson Princess is readily available. I just saw some beautiful full Krimson Princess at Lowe's for $15 for 6" hanging baskets. If you are in the continental U.S. and you don't receive your cuttings, send me a message and I will send you some.

I wish I lived in the US! You are so kind popmama! But I wouldn't worry too much about your new princes Mary! In my experience Hoya Carnosa is almost indestructible! Except root rot.. that kills them. My niece had a Krimson Queen though that had no roots left after a serious case of root rot, but the leaves where still pretty. We took cuttings, it did nothing for a year and now she has supplied the entire family with cuttings of that plant. The force is strong in that one...

Please do let me know. I have my messaging enabled on Houzz. Also, my experience with Krimson Princess is that it can take its sweet time to root. So don't give up if you don't see roots right away. I had the best success either putting them straight into soil or in a jar with leca balls keeping an inch of water at the bottom. But they took about 2 months to get roots. And I agree with Osulala, hoyas are very resilient, especially anything in the carnosa family.

popmama I don't see your messenger, sadly they were lost in the mail... I guess. Since now it says "delivered" at mailbox/unit. When I called them they said the carrier confirmed he left it at my door. I didn't push it, it's a hectic time. How can I see your messenger?

Mary, I sent you a message. Your message button was active when I clicked your name. You can just reply to my message. I'll get the cuttings to you! I had some rooted ones a few weeks ago but gave them all away. So these will be unrooted.

I can only comment that the cuttings I sent from Spain (Europe) to Puerto Vallarta took 20 days to arrive and the person who received it is very happy. You can read the post I wrote on Saturday, June 2, 2012 and see the cuttings I sent him at:

Mary W. Just some advice. When ordering plants in the mail, always get priority shipping! It automatically comes with $50 insurance. That way you can file a claim if a plants get lost. You can recoup the money you spent! :)

I don't do much mail order, but if I did, I'd probably be tempted to be cheap about it. So thanks much for anyone (like me) who forgot Priority Mail included that insurance, very helpful of you.

Thanks for that advice! I have actually ordered more than 100 of the 120 plants I own off different Etsy shops, and doing plant exchanges. That is literally the ONLY time that's ever happened! So that was really great for you to add, since I've never needed to go down that avenue I didn't know it came with insurance! Thanks again!

@popmama they are doing fantastic! I have them as just a long vine in small pots which I like. I know Hoyas are usually nice and full however, I like the esthetic of just one long cutting in a couple pots. About two weeks ago the roots really took off (thanks to buying a more expensive grow light), I am keeping them indoors for now! Thanks again @popmama I've paid it forward and sent out many free cuttings on FB groups to newbies. I love sharing my plants like you! ❤️ I can't thank you enough.
