best position for living room furniture & TV

Good morning one-and-all! My wife and I recently moved into a new apt in NYC and have a totally blank living room / dining room that we are looking to slowly build up over the coming months. I have attached a floor plan for reference.

(the kitchen is the part in the lower right-hand corner)

At first we were thinking of buying a sectional with chaise to go along walls C & A, with the TV on Wall D. Wall D however is the drywall separating our baby's room from the living room, so we're wondering if it might not be better to have the TV hanging on Wall A. This option would allow us to place a desk perhaps against Wall C (especially as working from home could be our new normal for many months). However, would we place a R-H sectional offset from Walls B & D (B has an A/C unit) or just a regular sofa? If it matters we would ideally want either sectional or sofa to have a sleeper component for visiting grandparents. Wall E (window) is North-facing, and Wall B (window) is west-facing, with lots of light in the afternoons.

For the dining area we are open to round or rectangular table. We normally two adults, one baby, but regularly entertain so there could be as many as eight people in all. I feel like having sofa against D would allow for more space for the table, but may look weird when coming up the corridor at the center-bottom

The ceilings are low (8ft).

I am torn between the two options. Thoughts?

Thanks!

DD
