Unfortunately for you, I think this pattern is way too complicated to put into words that could be clearly understood. I would suggest you try a simpler pattern (for some other item) which is both diagrammed and in words, so you can see how diagrams work in action. Then you will be better placed to follow the instructions of this diagram.

It’s very confusing. They keep talking about knitting and crocheting like they are the same thing. I didn’t see a key to the symbols in the leaflet, either.

Try to contact the designer/publisher for clarification.

Mrsmeow, it’s a common European way of diagramming a pattern. The oval is a chain and the “nails” are what are called doubles in the US and trebles in the UK. The complexity is how the pattern goes back and forth and parts of the next row are made before coming back with a different colour.

Thank you all, I appreciate your help. Someone in other site gave me a simple chart they made for the direction of the pattern, its the closet thing to this pattern till now, i made a sample with it and I think it’s good, but when I compare it to the arrows of the diagram I feel odd. But for now it’s all I have. i tried to contact the company on their social media sites but no response. I searched everywhere on internet and seams there is no one has done it.
