Where are you located, generally? That will help.

How large are they? Are you close enough (and/or your eyes are good enough) to see legs, antennae, etc. if they were really skinny?

I think they might be silverfish. I've attached a picture. I saw this on my ceiling and it was dark brown/black. Instead of smashing it I knocked it off and took a picture. Just for you guys! I mainly notice them on my bedroom ceiling and bathroom. However I was decluttering my closet yesterday and found them in their too. I live in a small 600 sqft 1 bedroom apartment so there's not much separation between the rooms.

Is this a silverfish? How do I get rid of them? I have click and lay floating laminate floors if that is important.
