Creeping Jenny and Weeds

I have one of those ribbon driveways with the strip of dirt down the middle. My vision was to fill the space with Creeping Jenny. It's done pretty well so far, but the edges are filled with weeds. Will the CJ out compete the weeds if I let everything be or do I need to pull the weeds? I'm sure it's better to pull the weeds, but I would prefer not to pull 50ft worth of weeds if I don't have to :P
