adenium root trimming when repotting?

I’m repotting and pruning some of the leggy branches off this adenium. The root system is quite healthy without any signs of rot, and hasn’t really outgrown its pot. The lowest roots have hit the bottom of the pot but I’m going to raise it up a bit when I repot it. My question, is there any real advantage to trimming any roots while I have it out of the pot?
