Pruning roots encourages it to produce more which is beneficial.

It also lets you pot the plant into a shallower container and its the general opinion that because of their bonzai like shapes, Adeniums look far better when planted in shallow wide containers as opposed to tall deep ones.

A wider pot would be more stable than a tall one.

If you do raise it, cleanly slicing off those thin roots flush with the caudex won’t hurt as it’s got plenty more below the new ground level...makes for a clean uncluttered look above ground.

I would trim the ones that look like hairs and then repot. It will make it easier to lift too. I tend to plant deep, and then pull upwards until situated. The bigger roots should stay.

You could leave that tuft of roots b/w the two bigger roots just to see what happens ...
