Write down everything you plant, and which seeds, how old etc. So you will know if they all worked. you really have nothing to lose trying them out

Great idea to keep some notes! That's essential to track what works and what doesn't..... and would enable me to "brag" about the successes, and thereby give a much needed boost to hoarders everywhere!

My freezer is full of them. I plant in peat pots and see if they're viable. If not, they get tossed and I plant something else in the pots. Eventually, something thrives and goes in the ground!

Where I live the garden centers are open but only allow 6 people at a time works really well . I have used some pretty old seeds and had pretty good luck generally . The idea to keep track is a very good one.

I have some amaranth seeds that are pretty old, so I'm going to try them in my little micro green sprouter because they are edible and micro greens are very cool.

It's not as much of the age but it's how they were stored.

The Amaranth are going in the micro greens planter, and I did not plant yet. I'm waiting for the radish and broccoli seeds to finish. Then the Amaranth gets it's turn.

My melon plants from 10 year old seeds look great although no baby melons yet.

Is it true that if they've been frozen that their viability should basically be just as good?

It’s not as simple as that. Homeowners don’t usually have the expertise or facilities for successful freezer storage so they’re better off not trying it. Most seeds are best stored in cool dry conditions. Freezing seeds

You can test seed viability by putting them on a paper towel then covering them with another. Use a spray bottle to keep towels moist.

Btw. There are numerous on line seed companies that will deliver to your door. You should consider ordering ASAP to get what you want, especially now.
