Dining Chairs for Brown Table, Gray Rug

Trying to pick out chairs for this new modern table. Including all the rest of the furniture. It's all open concept. As you can see there is alot of "safe" colors and was hoping to get some pop of color with the dining chairs - kinda like the kitchen island stools. Suggestions on color/style?

How about another photo of the dining area? Right now it looks as if the rug and table are either not positioned properly or they are the wrong size for the space.

I suggest an interesting design for the chairs would make them special with a seat fabric you can change. Add color in that area on the wall.

I'd go with some simple Parson's style upholstered or slipcovered chairs. Bring in some color; too much gray and brown.

    Something like this, perhaps?

I used Modsy for the design.

I see that the design makes it work, but the actual placement in your. space may be a problem. The design has 6 chairs facing. I don’t think the legs of the table will allow for the chairs to be positioned in that way. You may have to do 4 facing and 2 on either end. You won’t have room for one at one end for a chair to fit.

Green and blues (could be limes and different shades of blue). The green and blues work best w that sectional especially and would tone down the really warm flooring (they look great but they don't need to be accentuated even more). Definitely mid century or something else w clean lines that mimic what you already have

Id love to see chartreuse in the space. Or a burnt orange . An Eames style chair would be nice.

Wishbone style chairs in a fun color would be nice too

    or a bit softer color

My favorite color is the color of those chairs in the kitchen island. I wasn’t sure if that would work

HI -- I love what you have so far ....it would be best for the future to keep the chairs the same color and look as what you have in the stools and the living room chairs . Add the color with large Art and textured pillows etc. Only small touches of accent color will be in better taste . Having brighter solid colors in chairs will become out of place or become tiring or dated over time .

I’m sure there are more out there...but this is good quality and can be customized. Does this fall in your budget? If not, we can look for others

Does changing the rug color give me more options?

You don’t see much of a rug under a DR table unless the table is glass. So I think you are on the right track looking for color in the chairs. Have you thought about a print fabric on the DR chairs? So have so much solid already

I don’t think all the green and blue suggestions are because of the rug. It’s really the undertones in that sectional that would pair nicely w blue or green. What color would you prefer?

@Sabrina Alfin Interiors I love the chair you posted- can you please share the source?

@J D I think more bold colors like Red, Yellow??

There are lots of chairs that would go with your table with easy-to-change seat covering. I think yellow on the couch (pillows) or even a coral. I’m not a pro but I’m sure someone will come in and help. Even red would do it. Too many suggestions above are still monochromatic.

I would put the pop of color in the paintings and accessories and not in the chairs ... Your table is elegant so I would suggest a wood and white cushion chair keeping the lovely modern feeling . But you need color in paintings , vases , flowers ...

    nice

What about red AND blue so that sectional doesn’t feel out of place?

Thanks for the advice I went with these

Like the style of chair you chose. Add pop of color with toss pillows on sofa. Then slip cover the pillows for a different color (red?) for colder months.

The chairs look nice Travis:) By the way my suggestion for red and blue was not necessarily for the chairs, but was for the overall accent colors for the room

Very nice minimalist mid century modern Scandinavian vibe throughout the entire space.

@J D red is my fav pop color. I have a red stand mixer and kettle in the kitchen. Next up sideboard/bar-cabinet next to the table and of course pillows and art for living room
