Rainforest Sunrise finally woke up. A slow grower for me, but good enough. Grows well for everyone else.

Golden Meadows is going green. This is going to be a favorite and deserves a fancy pot or even a spot in the ground.

Remember Me, grown in part sun.

Striptease, a great plant. It is the littlest plant in this part of the garden, in with giants. Cloudburst is next to it.

I am still waiting for Angel Falls and Bridal Falls to come up. I think they both died. Paradise Glory and Etched Glass did not survive. Island Breeze is sick. Overall, most plants overwintered well.

Utog (hope you don’t mind the shortening of your handle) you have a most fabulous garden......all of your hostas look beautiful! I love the mixing of grasses and ferns in with the hostas. I’m up in Milwaukee WI and we are still waiting for “real spring.” Hahaha. Almost all my pips are up and I just located four today finally showing. It’s warm today and tomorrow (65-70) but back to 40s-50s rest of the week. A couple of nights predicted to be 34-35. Not sure I want to plant my new arrivals yet. Well,in a month I hope my small yard will be looking like yours.....btw I like your Tokudama, nice blue margin!

Fantabulous lives up to its name, although I do not photograph it well. Those margins hold up to tough conditions; only hail or debris damage them.

Tokudama, year 2. Contrary to predictions, the Tokudama line grows well enough for me.

Parisian Silk. Last year, it's flowers were blue.

Other stuff, with focus on dark green and chartreuse. I like the Illicium Florida Sunshine, which is mainly hidden in this pic by Unruly Child.

Blue Ivory with minis and Heuchera. I love Blue Ivory, even though it was impossible to situate in my garden. The margins are pure white, not cream. They gleam. Blue Ivory stands out a lot, maybe too much

I think this late-rising NOID is Janet. It is albescent.

Climax. It seems like the other Hosta are applauding it.

Keeping it cool with Mystic Star and Pulmonaria Trevi Fountain. Mystic Star's blue is still coming it. I highly recommend it, a metallic blue that plays well with the silvery spots on the Pulmonia.

Your Remember Me is so pretty. I tried twice with it and it died both times. I gave up on that one.

I love Golden Meadows though and it's done well here.

Nice, I see we share similar taste in Hosta. I was so jealous before, but now I have some of my own, so it's aaaaaaallllllll gooood.

we had new gutters installed..home projects stress me out..then I'm tired..then a routine dermatologist appt..so I wasted 2 days..

utog..your photos are great..you're doing a great job capturing your hosta collection..I might steal your potted hosta on a tree stump idea..you have so many great hostas but I want to mention a few..Sugar Plum's petioles..Ben Vernooji..so pretty..I noticed this one in another post too..Waterslide..Parisian Silk..Climax has great form..I love uprights..I'm planning to be back in my garden tomorrow and taking pics..

utog..LOVE IT..it looks wonderful already..Krossa Regal is a beautiful hosta that will look great with your other uprights..it's so obvious that I love Krossa Regal..Lol!!..

You did go big. I love Krossa Regal. It's done well for me even in a pot. I bought Krossa Regal and Halcyon at the same time. It's amazing how much bigger and healthier Krossa Regal turned out to be.

KR has been very vigorous for me as well. It was one I ripped apart into four and they all look pretty good. KOMODO DRAGON is another vigorous one here

Utog-I need to get out and take pictures today-before the weather gets carpy. I absolutely love your hosta. Could you post a picture of your whole garden? You may have one somewhere that I missed...What kind of companion plants do you like to accompany your hosta? I'm having that issue where I want nice companion plants. I'm dealing with a yard that used to be covered with ground cover (most still is) and I have random mayapple, lungwort, and other various plants but want to streamline it a little more.

My garden is a disorganized, weedy mess, but I thank you. I have lots of liriope, ferns, and hellebore. I have a few camellias, hardy aspidistra, epidemium, asarum, and a pulmonaria. My yard is covered in wild violets. In the summer, I am constantly pulling up Japanese stilt grass and Virginia creeper. In the sunny areas, I have several types of hardy passion flower growing, as well as hydrangea. I am truly beset by pests, particularly mammals (squirrels--digging, voles--eating the roots/croots, rabbits eating everything above the surface). Gardening is fun, sometimes with a battle cry.

These are all gorgeous! I'm in 7b as well...and completely ate up with the wild violets, too!

I did some watering after work today, in preparation for the cold snap this weekend. Already the low humidity and cold nights had dried out so many plants. Then, these 2 lovelies begged for some attention. :)

Fantabulous. When it emerges, it looks like a mini Montana AM. It quickly turns green and white. Aptly named plant. :)

Part of my messy garden in the dry creek bed. The bench is in the delta. The creek flows swiftly under the bench when it rains. During flash floods, the water flows over the tops of the pots in front of the stumps. The Hostas love it.

Hope your gardens did OK after the frosts last week. We have Tropical Storm Arthur headed our way.
