Do you also have a pic of your entire front?

First thing I would do, no matter the style of your entire front, is to get more lighting on your interior entryway. The style matters for types of light.

The ceiling needs to be painted either a very soft blue or a brighter white.

The floor needs to be repainted a lighter, brighter color. Right now, on my monitor, it looks like it has a gray tinge.

Thanks for the comments!!! It is just concrete. The whole house is brick and that siding color which is lighter beige.

Are you just finishing up building? Rehabbing? I mention that because the brick planter doesn't yet have landscaping. Which direction are you headed toward - cottage or more contemporary? The shutters are cottage (and too small for your windows).

I think you need to have a much larger porch light in the ceiling. At least one and preferably two since the depth of the entry appears to be at least 10 ft from front to back (pure guessing on my part). I would so something like this:

If you are moving toward cottage, I would change out the shutters to the right size shutters with hardware and landscape appropriately.

Paint your front door a brighter color. It doesn't have to match your shutters at all. White or yellow. would work.

This is funny you ask this is our future house still my dads as we live there and take care of him and the Parkinson's he has. There were flowers there along time ago but planter is falling apart. Dont know what style this house is either just a house in Nebraska...😁 Actually found a green wreath and put on door. No matter how much my dad says you can do whatever you want to the house I dont feel right yet. I appreciate all your advice you are truly awesome for taking the time out responding to me. Going to start looking for shutters and a light and researching paint color.
