Master Idea Layout Question

We have a 1983 Master Bathroom that is horrible and needs a remodel desperately. The problem - our shower is really small and can’t really be enlarged unless we punch two feet into our bedroom.

So we settle on another small shower or move the toilet to current shower area. Then we turn existing bathtub into large shower area.

Question 1. How important is the bath. Do we keep it and turn current bath into bath/shower combo?

Question 2. So we kill tub and create larger walk in shower area?

Question 3. Do we punch existing shower space and lose a couple feet of an alcove into our bedroom?

Question 4. Do we remove pocket door and wall between vanity sink and main bath sink?

We will obviously gout this and replace all flooring, cabinets, sinks, shower, toilet, fixtures.

The footprint is tricky. Or we just work around existing footprint and update everything.
