I would either beef up the posts or add another one to make it look more substantial. Paint it the same brown as your gutters. A burnt orange would look good on your door.

Wow, had not thought about your ideas regarding the pergola. Really like the addition of another post on either side, then painting to match the color of the gutters (and garage doors). Thank you very much!

What are your thoughts on painting the front door either sun dried tomato, rustic red, or rockwood red (Sherwin Williams colors)?

I like houssaon's suggestion for the pergola. Fresh Clay looks good to me on my screen...a little less orange.
