The light green at its feet is a NOID that my son insisted that we buy from Home Depot. It looked like the last chicken in the shop, as the saying goes. It was left in full sun, bone dry and moments from death. It has turned out to be a pretty plant, albescent and small. Maybe Janet or Fan Dance.

Pretty Ann Kulpa! I tried that one, but it either didn't like Texas or didn't like being in a pot.

I bought Ann Kulpa last year. After that, I kept seeing it everywhere I went and had to find out what it was so I could get it. Good news, I already had it. Just need to wait for mine to look as good. Yours looks even better!

Mine keep changing. Fog Light wowed me the first year, then not so much the second, although I still like it. Hard to capture the color and it changes through the season.

The King always looks good and has a dramatic color change, but doesn't seem to get much bigger each year. Early 2019:

Do the margins hold up well for The King?

"hard up" - hold up? They don't really go white so no melting. I do have some issues with some pathogen munching on the edge sometimes, but that's not specific to The King. The edge goes to a greenish cream or brassy yellow depending on how it feels. New leaf on July 8 2017

I sound like a broken record but here goes..I love Krossa Regal..I have multiples of them in 6 locations..pic#1..my front path..pic#2..4 of my 5 2019 rescues..

I took a walk around the neighborhood yesterday and noticed a yard with over a dozen Krossa Regal (I assume). They looked great and I don't have any. I always thought Regal Splendor was close enough, but I'm always looking for Hosta with that shape . . . hmmm.

steve..I have Krossa Regal and Regal Splendor..they're both so elegant..in my opinion of course you need both Lol!..
