Curb Appeal - please help! :)

We just bought this town house and are struggling with ideas to make it have more curb appeal. Can anyone give us some suggestions please? Color schemes? What to do with balcony?

Definitely want to remove tree and possibly plant some flowers instead? Or just trim tree down? Thank you SO much.

Could you post a couple more pics from futher back. Right now I would say a new garage door . That tree really infringes on that entry as much as I hate it I think the tree needs to go. Are there rules about what you can and can’t do , you might not be able to get rid of the tree.

Here is another angle, I don't have one further back just yet!

It is a freehold, so no rules.

I would remove tree and stump and replace it wit h sod. You might do window boxes on the balcony rail.

I would remove tree as well. Hassle to keep pruning and to bog for that spot. Good luck

Since the garage door and driveway are so prominent, my first thought was a line of large planters on both sides of the driveway, or a brick or stamped concrete edge on the driveway, maybe with some flowering shrubs behind that. and I agree about getting a decorative garage door.

wow, these are all great ideas! thank you!
The tree in the way does bother me, there is a cute arch behind it between both houses.
Should I paint behind the balcony white so it blends in? or change the bolsters?

Please do not remove the tree, I realize I am in the minority but it does provide shade and privacy to your porch which you will appreciate in the hotter months. Improve the grass and use potted flowers for seasonal color.

I wonder if the tree could just get moved a few feet towards the street?

Or actually just thinned! I good pruning might be a place to start, opening it up.

As they often are the Thuja occidentalis is already a bit on the thin and scruffy side so thinning it would not be an enhancement.

I’ll admit, I don’t know much about pruning trees. Would limbing it up a little be a good idea? Perhaps consider consulting an arborist.

Thanks everyone! Does anyone else have suggestions to enhance the front of the house besides the tree? :)

    Thanks again!

Can’t really see the front door, but would painting it a bright color be an option? And a full glass storm door. A large pot of colorful plantings. If the tree can be successfully limbed up, the entry would be a lot more visible.

I know, it's hidden behind the tree to the left. I'd love to paint it a bright color like coral/pink?

    What about a pergola?

Paint the garage door, the railing and the trim around the balcony door dark blue.

Find or have made a metal decorative piece that incorporates your unit number, to hang above the garage.
